Atlanta, GA – The State Board of Pardons and Paroles has promoted Kimberly Williams to Chief Parole Officer in the LaFayette Parole District. Williams was the Assistant Chief Parole Officer in the LaFayette District.

Williams began her career with the State Board of Pardons and Paroles in November of 2006 as a Parole Officer in the Monroe Parole District. In 2007, Williams transferred to the LaFayette Parole Office and was soon promoted to Parole Officer II.

During her career with the Board, Williams has served as a Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) Facilitator, District #34 Faith Based Coordinator and Field Training Officer for the Northwest Region. As the Faith Based Coordinator, she helped to develop Project S.H.I.E.L.D. Williams organized a core group of community leaders who strongly support and promote community involvement in Project S.H.I.E.L.D. In 2012, Williams was named Parole Officer of the Year by the Parole Association of Georgia.  On July 1, 2013, Williams was promoted to Assistant Chief Parole Officer in the LaFayette Parole District.  

Williams graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

Williams’ promotion was effective June16, 2014.
