Pace is Conyers’ new Chief Parole Officer
Atlanta, GA – The State Board of Pardons and Paroles has selected Don Pace as Chief Parole Officer for the Conyers Parole District.
Pace is a graduate of Georgia State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 1980. Pace began his law enforcement career with the DeKalb County Police Department in 1980, as a Police Officer. In 1985, he began working for DeKalb County Probation as a Probation Officer. In 1987, he began his employment with the State Board of Pardons and Paroles as a Parole Officer in the Lawrenceville Parole District. While there he supervised the highest risk cases to include sex offenders and he served as the Electronic Monitoring Specialist.
In 2002, Pace transferred to the Monroe Parole District and in 2005, he was selected to serve as the Chief Parole Officer in Monroe.
Pace is a POST General Instructor and Firearms Instructor. He currently serves on the Criminal Justice Advisory Board for Georgia Piedmont Technical College and is an adjunct instructor at the college. In 2007, Pace graduated with a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Troy University with a 4.0 GPA. Pace has also completed several leadership and management courses during his career with the Parole Board.
