Decatur, Georgia, Victim Impact Sessions
The Georgia Parole Board conducted another round of Victim Impact Sessions, this time in Decatur. Parole Board Vice Chair Joyette Holmes met with victims. Victim Impact Sessions allow victims and survivors to meet with a Parole Board Member, and staff from the Georgia Office of Victim Services and the Board's Pre-Release Considerations Division. The information the Board receives during the meetings is documented in the offender case files and is available for all Board Members to review. Cases are selected in collaboration with the District Attorney. The Board has met with crime victims in fifteen judicial circuits in 2025.
