Georgia Sheriffs' Association Annual Conference
The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles is engaging stakeholders and criminal justice partners. Board Members Wayne Bennett and Robert Markley, both former Georgia Sheriffs, attended the Georgia Sheriffs' Association Annual Conference. Bennett was Glynn County Sheriff for 20-years, retiring in 2012. Markley retired last December after serving 24-years as Sheriff in Morgan County. Both have extensive public service and law enforcement careers. Executive Director of Parole Chris Barnett, Pre-Release Considerations Division Director Crystal Moon, and Deputy Division Director Lisa Copeland attended and spoke to the sheriffs.
