2025 Governor’s Public Safety Awards
The State Board of Pardons and Paroles joined Governor Brian Kemp and other state agencies in honoring our fallen law enforcement officers at the 2025 Georgia Public Safety Memorial Ceremony. Governor Kemp honored thirteen officers, six who died on duty in 2024 and seven as previous years’ honorees. State and local leaders gathered as well to honor the families, friends, and colleagues of those who gave their lives in the line of duty. Parole Board Vice Chair Meg Heap and Board Members Wayne Bennett and Robert Markley attended the ceremony along with Parole Board staff. Each officer's name will be inscribed on the Georgia Public Safety Memorial Wall at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.
