January 2025, Georgia Pardons and Paroles Board Meeting
At the January meeting of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles, newly appointed member Robert Markley joined the board. Markley is the retired sheriff of Morgan County. At the operations meeting, Executive Director Chris Barnett delivered a report to the board which included updates from staff. The board also reviewed policies and procedures. Parole cases are not reviewed or voted on at the monthly meetings. Board Members vote on cases and make executive clemency decisions electronically daily.
