Catoosa & Walker Counties Leadership Group
The Catoosa/Walker Counties Leadership Group had their day at the State Capitol. The State Board of Pardons and Paroles was happy to host the annual meeting of this group of community leaders and also discuss the Georgia Parole Board and the executive clemency process. Deputy Executive Director Rita Rocker explained the agency's constitutional authority to make clemency decisions in the best interest of public safety. "Today was a perfect example of our citizens not only showing interest in their government but taking action to engage their elected leaders and state government agency leaders," said Rocker. "We're always excited to be able to visit with the Walker and Catoosa County delegation," added Rocker. The delegation had the opportunity to also visit with their legislators at the Capitol.
