Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police 2023 Summer Training Conference
The State Board of Pardons and Paroles attended the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP) 2023 Summer Training Conference in Savannah. Parole Board Executive Director Chris Barnett spoke to the police chiefs. “Our relationship with the GACP membership benefits public safety,” stated Barnett. “Lines of communication between the Board and Georgia’s police departments result in a fully informed parole board as they determine whether to release an eligible offender to parole,” he added. The Board’s Clemency Director Crystal Moon, Field Services Director Felecia Holloway, and Communications Director Steve Hayes attended the summer conference. The GACP conference was an excellent opportunity as well for our staff to participate in the many training sessions that were provided.
