Georgia Workforce Strategies Initiative Summit
Georgia's inaugural Workforce Summit Initiative (WSI) happened at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. Executive Director of Parole Chris Barnett and Human Resources Director Eris McKennon participated as representatives of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles. "We're fortunate at the Georgia Parole Board to have a workforce that stays and thrives and they enhance public safety every day by being productive. This summit provided information that will help keep our agency focused on the recruitment and retention of our current and future workforce," said Barnett.
The WSI meeting was an opportunity to bring together government, educational, and other professionals to address the recruitment and retention of state employees.
