June 2023 Board Meeting
The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles held its June public meeting in Atlanta, where Terry Barnard was elected Chairman of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles, and Board Member David Herring was elected as Vice Chairman for Fiscal Year 2024. Unprecedented in modern times, this will be Terry Barnard’s ninth term as chairman. He is the second longest-serving chair in the 80-year history of the agency. The Board also updated the Clemency Guidelines.
