Criminal Data Exchange Board Meeting

The State Board of Pardons and Paroles hosted the quarterly CDX (Criminal Data Exchange) Board meeting in May. Executive Director Chris Barnett represented the Parole Board at the meeting. “The Georgia Parole Board was pleased to be able to host CDX representatives for this quarterly meeting. This is an important mission as the state focuses on the future of criminal data sharing among law enforcement agencies. The proper transmission and sharing of criminal data information is essential to public safety,” stated Barnett. Pete Skandalakis chairs the CDX Board. Skandalakis is the Executive Director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia. Senate Bill 441 reconstituted the Criminal Case Data Exchange Board as an advisory body to the Council of Superior Court Clerks. The legislation tasks both the CDX Board and the Council with promulgating standards for the transmission of criminal data in the state. The CDX Board consists of nineteen members including the State Board of Pardons and Paroles.
