2023 Annual Mid-Winter Georgia Professional Association of Community Supervision Conference
The State Board of Pardons and Paroles was among the membership agency sponsors of the 2023 Annual Mid-Winter Georgia Professional Association of Community Supervision Conference (GPACS). The training conference was held at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Three of Georgia's Parole Board Members including the newest member Tim Ward attended part of the training.
"The GPACS conference provided many networking opportunities. My association with this organization will be beneficial as a Parole Board Member," stated Ward.
Chris Barnett, Executive Director for the Parole Board said GPACS provided so many opportunities for staff. "Our agency again maximized our participation in this training event because of our experiences at past GPACS conferences. The Parole Board’s mission is about ensuring public safety and the GPACS 2023 slogan, “Creating Better Communities,” is aligned with that mission goal. Better communities mean safer communities for our families and all Georgians," Barnett said.
