Georgia Anti-Gang Network Meeting at Athens Technical College
The State Board of Pardons and Paroles was among the local, state, and federal agencies and organizations that participated in the Georgia Anti-Gang Network meeting at the Athens Technical College. Executive Director of the Parole Board, Chris Barnett was the agency representative. Barnett pledged the agency's continued commitment, support, and assistance in fighting gang activity. Representatives at the meeting updated Attorney General Chris Carr regarding efforts to combat gang activity in Georgia in their communities and across the state.
Several Athens-Clarke County law enforcement agencies and organizations representing education and youth attended. Several state agencies were represented including the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Georgia Departments of Public Safety, Juvenile Justice, Community Supervision, Corrections, Natural Resources, Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, and Emergency Management and Homeland Security. The meeting also included judges, attorneys, and district attorneys.
