2022 Georgia Prison Wardens' Association Training Conference
The State Board of Pardons and Paroles attended the 2022 Georgia Prison Wardens' Association Training Conference. Executive Director of the Parole Board Chris Barnett spoke about how wardens are crucial in keeping the Parole Board Members informed about offenders in their care. "Wardens are on the front lines and because they know the offender better than anyone, their input is critically important to the Parole Board when making public safety decisions," said Director Barnett. Clemency Division Director Crystal Moon and Deputy Director Lisa Copeland spoke to conference attendees about Georgia's clemency process.
