ATLANTA - Parole Board Member Braxton Cotton leads a parole delegation attending the 40th Anniversary Annual Training Conference of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives or NOBLE. The conference begins tomorrow, Saturday, July 16, 2016, and continues through July 20, 2016, in Washington, D.C.

Cotton is a member of Georgia’s NOBLE chapter and serves as state liaison to the national organization.

Cotton states, “Georgia has been at the forefront of criminal justice reform which is an example of collaborative efforts and innovative thinking. We must take this opportunity to share, to learn and to challenge ourselves to create solutions for the future. The NOBLE training conference offers a tremendous opportunity for professional collaboration.”

NOBLE is a professional training organization for law enforcement officials and criminal justice practitioners with nearly 60 chapters and 3,000 members worldwide. The Georgia Chapter has a membership of approximately 300 law enforcement professionals representing more than 100 Georgia criminal justice agencies.

The theme for the national conference in Washington, D.C. is: Justice by Action: Then, Now, and Tomorrow.

The Georgia chapter of NOBLE will hold its annual training conference with an award and scholarship banquet November 4 - 5, 2016, in Atlanta.

NOBLE’s 41st Annual National Training Conference for 2017 will be held in Atlanta with Mr. Cotton serving as the Conference Liaison. Being actively involved in the planning of the 2017 conference, Cotton says he is confident that it will provide an opportunity for Georgia to be engaged in a pivotal national discussion of issues permeating throughout the country and have critical implications for the success of law enforcement efforts and the safety of all citizens.
