Mandy and Asher

Meet the State Board of Pardons and Paroles' Comfort Canine Asher, and handler Mandy Kimner, a Victim Specialist. Asher is a dedicated Comfort Dog, and together they support victims and others navigating the challenges of traumatic events or enduring stress. Asher and Mandy are a part of the Critical Incident Stress Management program within the Georgia Office of Victim Services (GOVS). GOVS is a division of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles. The Comfort Dog Program is the first in the nation implemented by a paroling authority. Asher and Mandy were recognized by Marsy's Law of Georgia in FY 2025.
