Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
The entry level professional position with the State Board of Pardons and Paroles is Parole Officer. Candidates must meet the following requirements to qualify*:
U.S. Citizenship
21 Years of Age
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university
An acceptable score on the COMPASS, ASSET, SAT, ACT, or CPE test
Applicants must have and maintain a valid state of Georgia driver's license
Male applicants age 21-25 must be registered with the Selective Service
NOTE: Current POST certified State of Georgia employees who have previously taken and passed the Criminal Justice test are exempt from the above test requirements.
* Fluency in Spanish and/or Asian dialects is a desired qualification.
