Parole Board Members Tour the Bostick Nursing Center
Georgia Parole Board Members Joyette Holmes and Wayne Bennett toured the Bostick Nursing Center in Milledgeville. Bostick is a public-private partnership providing skilled nursing care for offenders released from prison who have significant medical and/or mental health needs. “I am very impressed with this facility,” stated Holmes. “The staff and administration are equally impressive. The facility is providing necessary services to these residents.” Bennett, a former sheriff, said providing healthcare for this population is a difficult task. “Our tour and information we were provided gives us a very good understanding of the challenges that exist with caring for released offenders who for example suffer with terminal illness,” said Bennett.
