Board Member Tim Ward speaks on Offender Mental Health Services
Georgia Parole Board Member Tim Ward spoke in September at a Mental Health Facility and Criminal Justice Seminar at Pine Mountain, Georgia. The public/private partnership included government leaders and industry leaders, specifically those involved with the future direction of mental health delivery in a correctional setting. Ward, the former Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Corrections provided insight into the delivery of mental health services in a prison system.
"Providing mental health services to our offender population is critical. We're doing a good job in Georgia and it is an area that requires much attention because just as in our communities, more offenders will require these services," said Ward.
