Atlanta Transitional Center Meeting

Georgia Parole Board Members and clemency staff met with residents at the Georgia Department of Corrections Atlanta Transitional Center. Parole Board Chairman Terry Barnard, Vice Chair David Herring, and Board Members Jacqueline Bunn, Meg Heap, and Tim Ward spoke with the offenders.

"On occasion, the Board has unique opportunities to be able to meet face to face with offenders. The information from these meetings is added to our case files which helps us to be fully informed as we make decisions in the most serious cases," stated Chairman Barnard. Each offender in the custody of the Department of Corrections is interviewed at some point during their incarceration by a parole staff member.
