Georgia Public Defender Council 2023 Summer Conference
The Georgia Public Defender Council held its summer conference at the University of Georgia School of Law. The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles was asked to present the parole process to the public defenders. Chris Barnett, Executive Director of Parole spoke to the attorneys. "The Public Defenders were great! It was a successful engagement opportunity for us and these attorneys. They had good questions and it was an excellent learning experience for them. Our presentation will aid them as they represent their clients," stated Barnett. The "Parole 101" presentation details and explains Georgia's parole process.
