Georgia Parole Board In-Service Law Enforcement Training

The Parole Board's Georgia POST (Peace Officer Standards & Training) certified officers are a critical link in enhancing public safety for all Georgians. To keep our officers sharp, in-service law enforcement training is provided throughout the year. These officers are required to re-qualify with firearms annually and stay current on state and federal laws. POST-certified officers are also required to complete a minimum of 20-hours of training annually, including Community Policing, De-escalation, and Use of Deadly Force. They're a valuable resource to the agency, working with all levels of law enforcement and community stakeholders to ensure the Board meets its public safety mission.
