Accountability Court Program Meeting

Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles' leadership met with leaders from the Accountability Court program and the Department of Community Supervision, as we strive to enhance our partnerships. The accountability court program has proven to be an effective alternative sentencing opportunity for nonviolent offenders, reducing the state's prison population, while enhancing public safety.

"Accountability Courts provide additional opportunities for success, through judicial support and wrap-around community service delivery. The State Board of Pardons and Paroles is engaging our criminal justice partners involved in this system to work toward enhancements and provide more opportunities for appropriate offenders, including parolees," stated Executive Director of the Parole Board, Chris Barnett.
