GACDL Winter Meeting
The State Board of Pardons and Paroles attended GACDL's (Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers) winter meetings held at the State Bar of Georgia. Executive Director of Parole Chris Barnett and Clemency staff met with attorneys.
"Engaging the GACDL members affords the Parole Board the opportunity to ensure our voting members have access to all available offender information. There are many attorneys not knowledgeable of the parole process and GACDL's meetings are an excellent way to engage, educate, and encourage active participation in the parole process. As we continue our stakeholder engagement, we're enhancing agency operations and enhancing public safety. " stated Chris Barnett, Executive Director of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles. Board staff were available to answer specific case questions and provided information on the parole process.
