GACDL Spring Seminar 2022
The State Board of Pardons and Paroles continues to partner with stakeholders to improve operations. Executive Director of Parole and clemency staff participated in the Spring seminar of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL). “By engaging, educating, and encouraging active participation in the parole process, we are enhancing our operations which results in improved public safety,” says Barnett. “We were able to provide information these attorneys need and can use regarding the parole process, and they are a stakeholder that can provide information to the board regarding offenders,” he added. Stakeholders in the parole process include defense attorneys, prosecutors, victims, and the public. Attendees of the seminar were provided with comprehensive information about the Georgia parole process.
