Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Meeting Young Harris
Georgia lawyers are a stakeholder in the parole process.
"Our engagement of stakeholders such as the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL) provides opportunities to help these attorneys understand the parole process," says Chris Barnett, Executive Director of Parole.
Barnett spoke to GACDL in Young Harris at the association's fall training conference. Clemency staff assisted attorneys on an individual basis with parole and offender case questions.
"Offenders are better served if their attorneys understand the parole process, and this engagement also serves the board as we can add additional case information to the offender profile," says Barnett.
