Atlanta Transitional Center
Engaging the offender population assists the Parole Board in making informed parole decisions. Board Members and staff visited the Atlanta Transitional Center, where residents were interviewed, and provided the Board with additional case information. All state inmates were interviewed by parole staff, and the Board includes and considers information from all stakeholders when making decisions to include information from law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, victims, and the community. The Georgia Department of Corrections operates the Transitional Centers.
