28th Annual Georgia Commission on Family Violence Conference

The State Board of Pardons and Paroles attended the 2022 Georgia Commission on Family Violence (GCFV) Conference, which took place in Athens, Georgia. This year was the 28th annual GCFV conference. Vice Chair of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles Jacqueline Bunn is also a member of the Georgia Commission on Family Violence.

“The 2022 Georgia Commission on Family Violence conference theme was: Widening the Lens: An Inclusive Response to Family Violence. A wide lens camera allows you to capture as much of a scene as possible. The keynote speakers and training workshops helped attendees gain greater insights regarding the depth and breadth of issues surrounding family violence. The event also served as a call to action for advocates to continue working to end domestic violence. The first post-pandemic in-person conference went off without a hitch. Director April Ross and her staff are to be commended for executing a dynamic conference," said Vice Chair Bunn.
