David J. Herring took the oath of office from Governor Nathan Deal November 5, 2018. Parole staff attended in support. Herring was appointed to the State Board of Pardons and Paroles effective August 1, 2018. He originally was sworn in by Board Chairman Terry Barnard at the August monthly Parole Board Meeting.
