ATLANTA – The Parole Board received a request from the representatives of Kelly Renee Gissendaner earlier today requesting the Board reconsider its decision to deny clemency in the case. After carefully considering the second clemency application on behalf of Gissendaner, the Board has voted to let the decision of February 25, 2015, denying clemency to Gissendaner stand.

Gissendaner is scheduled to die by lethal injection tonight, March 2, 2015, at 7 p.m., at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson.
