Parole Board Suspends Consideration for Clemency for Marcus Ray Johnson

Atlanta, Ga - The Parole Board has suspended consideration of Marcus Ray Johnson’s petition for clemency due to the stay of his execution by the Dougherty County Superior Court.

The Board’s rules provide that the Board will consider an application for clemency in a death case only when “it appears that all appeals through the courts have ceased or been exhausted."
